TOM KIMMEL, SINGER/SONGWRITER
Tom Kimmel grew up in Alabama and is now an award winning songwriter whose songs have been featured in film and television and recorded by the likes of Johnny Cash, Linda Ronstadt, Nanci Griffith, Randy Travis, Shawn Colvin, Dianne Reeves and many, many more. His songs have been featured in motion pictures such as Runaway Bride and in television shows as varied as Captain Kangaroo, Miami Vice and Touched By An Angel.
The singer-writer-poet-teacher is a soulful and unique singer and performer who has garnered critical acclaim in the worlds of folk, rock and spiritual music. Tom co-wrote the title song for Dianne Reeves new album When You Know. He served as Artist in Residence at Vanderbilt University this past year and appears with singer Kate Campbell in a new trio called the
New Agrarians.
Tom will release a new album Never Saw Blue this fall - the Princess Theatre marquee is featured on the album cover!
